Booking and Funding Associate


Philadelphia Area

Our client is a Large independent equipment leasing company seeking to hire a Booking and Funding Associate. As a Booking and Funding Associate, you will be responsible for performing end-to-end document management and custody procedures to aid in our investment process while maintaining positive relationships with all banking and investment partners. Additionally, you will manage all transactional aspects of the workflow from document review to booking and liaise with stakeholders, both internal and external.

The successful candidate for will have the following skills and competencies. Management may assign new duties, reassign existing duties, or eliminate a function.

Document Custodian Management:

  • Review, image, assemble and send collateral packages to our custodians.

  • Investigate and resolve document and data exceptions cited by customers/document custodians.

  • Track, reconcile and resolve collateral status and exception reports.

  • Correct existing or develop new procedures, when necessary, to ensure all processes are completed efficiently and effectively.

Contract Management:

  • Review diverse transactions following standard policies and procedures, including large complex transactions.

  • Work closely with credit and legal departments to ensure transactions conform to credit approval.

  • Keep current on policies, procedures, regulations, and industry changes.

  • Exercise critical thinking skills to identify potential exceptions to policies, escalating any issues when necessary.

  • Follow up to track and receive documentation, including, but not limited to, titles and insurance certificates.

Core Competencies:

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service.

  • Ability to perform with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyze situations, determine and implement a solution independently.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • May assist in training and onboarding of new hires.

Work Experience

This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance, industry specific knowledge is a plus. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
